Album #54 – Live at the Regal
This album was good. I agree with B.B. King though. It was not his best performance. It was actually kind of boring. It was not the exciting blues of Muddy Waters. B.B. King has better live performances than this. But, somehow it is on the list because the critics like it. Don’t get me wrong, I love B.B. King, just not with screaming girls, a horn section and restrained singing and guitar solos. B.B. King is better today in some ways than he was back then. I have nothing else to really say about this album but many blues musicians are influenced by it, just not me. Overall, I give this album 3 out of 5.
