Album #92 – Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim

Album #92

This album was good but got boring pretty quickly. Elevator music, anyone? I really enjoyed Ol’ Blue Eyes’ version of The Girl From Ipanema. It was better than Astrid Gilberto’s version. Antonio Jobim makes occasional apperances singing in Spanish Portuguese on a few of the tracks. Sinatra’s voice certainly does not lack emotion. He conveys the sadness and romance in these songs. This album is a great romantic/makeout album. If you want some music to spice up a romantic dinner, this is the album. But, I was getting bored of this album pretty quickly because I was anxious to listen to album #93, one of my favourites on the list. Other highlights: I Concentrate On You, Dindi and Once I Loved (The most beautiful track on this album!!!). Overall, I give this album 4 out of 5.

Next: The Doors by The Doors!!!!!

  1. Sorry to tell you, but Antonio Carlos Jobim doesn’t sings in spanish, ho sings in portuguese. And yes, this albums is a little boring, even if it has some truly good songs.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
