Album #283 – For Your Pleasure
This album is somewhat different to me than Roxy Music’s first, self-titled album (which is also on the list). I found For Your Pleasure to be quite boring and uneventful. This was the last album Roxy Music did before the departure of keyboardist Brian Eno. It shows. There is no clear direction on this album and it would take the group a few more before they found their footing again. Eno and the other members must have been at odds because upon listening to the album, there seems to be a battle for musical direction. The only other thing I have to say about this album is that it was a challenge to sit through and it was very boring. Luckilly, the next Roxy Music album on the list is much, MUCH better. Overall, I give this album 2.5 out of 5.
